How to Use the Hillsboro Elks Lodge #1862 Event Calendar

With the end of the MyElks app, we have come up with an alternate way stay up to date with Lodge events. You can view our full schedule on our website using the embedded Google Calendar — and if you’d like, you can add it directly to your own Google Calendar so events show up automatically.

Viewing the Calendar on Our Website

  1. Navigate to the Calendar Page or go directly to this link: https://hillsboroelkslodge1862.org/calendars/
  2. Switch Views
    • Use the selector in the top-right to switch between Week, Month, or Agenda view.
    • The Agenda view is great for quickly scanning upcoming events in a list format, we have also added the Agenda view below the calendar, for easier navigation.
  3. Browse Dates – Click the left/right arrows in the top-left to move between months or weeks.
  4. See Event Details
    • Click on any event to open a small pop-up with the event title, time, and description.
    • If available, you’ll see additional information such as location, contact info, or links.

 

Adding the Lodge Calendar to Your Own Google Calendar

Adding our calendar to your personal Google Calendar means Lodge events will appear alongside your own — and update automatically if we make changes.

On Desktop (computer browser):

  1. Look at the bottom-right corner of the embedded calendar — click the “Add to Google Calendar” link.
  2. If you’re not signed in, log in to your Google account.
  3. A pop-up will appear asking if you want to add the calendar. Click Add.
  4. You’ll now see a new calendar in your Google Calendar under “Other Calendars”.

On Mobile (phone or tablet browser):

  1. Tap the calendar to expand it if needed.
  2. Look for the “+ Google Calendar” or “+” button (may appear at the bottom right or just below the calendar).
  3. Sign in to your Google account if prompted.
  4. Confirm by tapping Add.

Tips for Using the Calendar Once Added

  • You can turn it on or off in your Google Calendar by checking/unchecking it under Other Calendars.
  • Click on events in Google Calendar for full details.
  • If you use the Google Calendar mobile app, Lodge events will appear there automatically after you add the calendar.
  • The calendar stays up-to-date automatically — no need to re-add it when events change.
